About

I Am Not Defined is an attempt to share my life story. I believe that we learn many lessons growing up, and that we are not defined by the way others classify us. I believe that we defined ourselves by the way we live and the choices we make.

It is easy to judge people and classify them as one thing or another, but it takes a true person to see beyond social classifications, and to see the real person underneath. I wish that everyone would take the time to learn about a person before they make judgments.

My Advice section is my attempt at helping people. I may not have a degree, but I have lived my life very fully, and made many mistakes that I have learned from. I would love to help other people learn from my mistakes and lessons in life.

I hope that maybe someone will learn something from the lessons I have lived through, or will take something away from what I have to say. I hope that maybe someone else going through something I have gone through can find comfort in my words, and know that they are not alone. I hope to help the people who haven’t had the easiest time in life, and to help them learn that even though life is rough, things do get better.

No one is perfect, and everyone is different. The world would be a boring place if everyone were a sheep. We need some Zebras in the heard. So be a Zebra! Be yourself, and enjoy that no one else out there is quite like you .

This Zebra has a lot to say and share, so tune in and read on!

I looked at your Facebook page and you gave great advice to the person who didn’t understand why they were not well liked in school. Keep it up. If we can help the kids, then the world will be a vastly different place as they grow up.

    Be encouraged.

You are inspiring. I feel a spiritual connection to you. My journey fighting cancer since 1985 enables me to understand the barriers we all face in our lives. Kudos to you.

Do not judge a book by its cover.
Do not define a person by appearance.
I am not defined… love the preamble for your blog.

What a beautiful soul you have, wise, sound. We actually do ourselves a disservice by judging others. I remember being in kindergarten and I loved, loved, loved show and tell because we could learn about each other. Terribly disappointing to get to grade school and that fun, social, expanding gift was not offered as part of our development. (Go figure!)

I’m grateful to be following your blog. Wishing you all the best today & always. Namaste.

    Blessings, Love & Peace,
    RH

I’m so glad you’re writing about the way we try to classify people as one thing or another. We all need to stop being so judgmental and realize the extent to which we participate in it.
